Welcoming Old Friends

So no one told you life was gonna be this way......

Don't lie, you so clapped there. I heard you. (also how weird is it seeing the 4th wall behind them in that gif) My first time writing a blog for Chuckle Tuesday, thought I'd talk about one of the best sitcoms ever made in my opinion, which is Friends :)

I don't know anyone who hasn't seen at least one episode of this show, be it the daily episodes at 5pm back when it was on E4 or the seemingly 24/7 stream on Comedy Central, everyone has at least seen an episode.

As someone who has grown up with the consistent showing of Friends on those channels for the past 10+ years, I've seen every episode countless times and over the years, the show has become less funny to me as I know where the jokers are, I can immediately tell what episode it is etc. It's basically turned more into background noise for me while I do other things. But recently I wasn't doing anything and decided to actually sit down and pay attention to an episode and I've got to admit it was as funny and I laughed just as much as when I saw that episode for the first time. There's something to be said when a TV show is coming up to 25 years old (I know like what?????) is still shown on a daily basis despite no new episodes in 13 years continues to make you laugh to this day.

It may not be everyone's favourite sitcom, other sitcoms have certainly come and gone, but I'll always have a place in my heart for Friends.
