Comedy for Social Change

Comedy for Social Change is a collective of comedians, academics and grass roots organisations, using humour-led activities to kickstart action towards a fairer society.

Founded by The Comedy Trust and Dr Marie Caslin, this project brings together a wide and diverse range of leading academics from three North West Universities.

These include Dr Laura Waite, Dr Leah Burch and Rose Devereux from Liverpool Hope University, Dr Kellie Thompson, Dr Laura Minor and Maxine Hamilton-Bell from the University of Salford and from Edge Hill University Dr Marie Caslin and Dr Seán Henry.

We’ve delivered programmes with young people, migrants, disabled people, sex workers and more.

All strands are academically evaluated and we are always on the look-out for opportunities to share our findings.

Please get in touch if you have a conference or event you would like us to present at.
