Why Laughter Is Important
Laughter increases the intake of oxygen
stimulates the heart, lungs and muscles, and increases the feel-good endorphins released by your brain.
Laughter can make it easier to cope
with difficult situations and reframe challenges in your mind.
Laughter has been shown to ease
feelings of depression and anxiety by reducing stress hormones like cortisol and epinephrine.
Laughter is a universal language
and has the ability to connect, remove hierarchies and create lasting relationships.
“I couldn’t believe the talent on display, the fearlessness of the kids, the great supportive atmosphere they created for each other. I wish I’d had the opportunity to get some confidence and training like that. Why didn’t they have a Comedy Trust in Leatherhead in the 1970s?? I’m in awe of all those kids I saw stand up, take the mike and make us laugh.”
– Mel Giedroyc, TV Presenter & comedian

“Sam’s energy, humour and passion for his work was totally infectious and he had over 40 people (on Zoom!) laughing and fully participating. Several of us saw the session as a highlight of the year, bringing us all a moment of light relief and connectivity.”
– Phillipa Pennington, Marketing Manager, Walkers
